“Over the last month, we received page views from Mac OS 10.9 machines geo-IP located both on Apple’s corporate network and in the Bay area,” Seth Weintraub reports for 9to5Mac.
“There are at least four different IP addresses that these hits are coming from, and the screen resolution on at least two of them is consistent with the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro’s display,” Weintraub reports.
“We received additional information that others have also started seeing 10.9 in their logs,” Weintraub reports.

… understand the software release numbering system, eh? Think of it as … money, for example. You have a single bill, a $10, and a boatload of dimes and pennies. So you pay your $23.53 tab with 10.123.123 – bill, dimes, pennies. That’s how release numbers work. We absolutely never HAVE to flip to “11”, unless we chose to.
…understand English, you sanctimonious p—k . It’s “choose,” not “chose.” I was suggesting that after naming the next iteration Sabertooth that Apple should CHOOSE to restart at 11, a new software numbering system designated by a new category since any further releases would seem anti-climactic.

Yawn. Wake me when you see Windows 9 systems appear in logs around Redmond. Oh course Apple is already working on the next OS release. Microsoft hasn’t even had a meeting to decide on the code word for 9.
Not true. The initial meetings for windows 9 took place during the development of Windows 8. As MS scaled back features and plans for Windows 8 they simple added them to the “Windows 9 Feature list” 😉

Can’t anyone just go to their Safari’s “Develop” menu, select “User Agent”, and then create a custom agent such as…
“Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 11.0.0.1) AppleWebKit/536.26.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/7.0.0 Safari/536.26.17”
I just changed mine to “Mozilla/6.0.1 (MacPro Exec; A9 Mac OS 11 11_0_0) AppleWebKit/536.26.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.2 Safari/536.26.17”.
