Yes, Apple has the most efficient supply chain ONCE THE DEVICES ARE COMPLETE AND IN THE BOX READY TO SHIP. Getting the devices built and into that box is the problem.

An yes, a person being in debt, living paycheck to paycheck but not really getting by is better than that person stealing a million dollars, getting caught and being thrown in jail for 20 years.

Apple hasn’t had the situation you’ve described since 1996 or 1997. To suggest that Apple would ever go back to that situation or even bring it up is just ignoring the real problem. Don’t stick your head in the sand by saying it’s better than the worst exact opposite.

Apple MUST fix their supply chain problem. This is supposedly Tim Cook’s forte. He needs to get it fixed and fixed FAST. At first glance it seems just as bad for the iPad mini. This is getting WAY out of hand. Cook needs to get this resolved NOW.

While a problem, this is a good problem to have. Much better than sitting on stock, or having Best Buy request that you do a buy back of the inventory they’ve been warehousing for three quarters.

Expanding into more and more countries does Apple no good if they cannot get the supply line fixed. They sell out each and every day. Apple could sell many, many more if they were just plain AVAILABLE!

Wonder why Apple’s stock price is depressed? Just look at the current supply chain fiasco and wonder no more!
