This is a brand new connector with significantly different tech. Apple are doing the right thing in providing training to the 3rd party manufacturers. This will get them up to speed faster and improved quality.

I’m sure the criteria will loosen up over time. As usually we will have forgotten this bellyaching in a years time.

Will Apple try to control the design too?
If yes then i am very sure the LED Lighting wire will not be approved.

Apple should just allow the 3rd party makers the freedom …
