“Chrisann Brennan was one of Steve Jobs’s first serious loves, his high school girlfriend and the mother of his daughter Lisa,” Julie Bosman reports for The New York Times.

“Now Ms. Brennan will tell the story of her relationship with Mr. Jobs, the Apple co-founder who died in 2011, in a new memoir to be published next year,” Bosman reports “St. Martin’s Press, part of Macmillan, said on Thursday it had acquired the rights to an untitled memoir by Ms. Brennan, who is now a painter based in the San Francisco Bay Area.”

Bosman reports, “St. Martin’s said Ms. Brennan’s memoir would cover a range of subjects, including her relationship with Jobs…”

  1. If you read the biography, you’d know that she had a very significant place in his life, and that she didn’t deserve the treatment she got from him. In his young years, he was a pretty big jerk and was never a responsible adult (when it comes to social interactions with others). It wasn’t until he was older that he started learning some important human skills.

Chrisann Brennan raised Lisa (Steve’s oldest child) in poverty, as he refused to acknowledge paternity for years. The girl was a teenager when she first connected with her father. Eventually, he accepted her and paid for Harvard, but he never properly showed any remorse regarding his treatment of her mother.

Chrisann certainly deserves whatever spoils of the “gravy train” she ends up receiving from this book. Anyone who knows anything about her will know that it will likely be a personal testimony, without attention-seeking scandalous stories.

    1. Right… One simple question though… Who’s here to refute any distortion of reality she may enhance her story with? There’s only two who could tell that tale, and one of them is no longer with us.

      1. For what it’s worth, I think Steve Jobs biographer Walter Isaacson can speak on his behalf. The Steve Jobs biography is remarkably candid about his treatment of Chrisann. Steve freely admitted that he treated her very poorly, and Walter has interviews already of dozens of their mutual friends. It’s still a third party perspective, sure, but that is often where the truth lies anyway. Let’s reserve judgment until it actually comes out.

      2. Another issue is that Christian Brennan is mentally unstable, so even if Jobs was the perfect boyfriend, their relationship could go wrong. So there is no way to blame their issue solely on Jobs.

  2. Hang to you undies iSheeps as this will hurt the image that you have of your Messiah! Drugs, theft, intellectual dishonesty, sexual prowess of a geek… of yeah he was a geek, made her pay for everything and offered her money for sex.

    This will be a hoot!

    1. Gary must be feeling a bit insecure in his own computing choices, but rather than raise himself up it’s easier to resort to posts like that to garner a brief sense of relief.

Say Gary, you didn’t buy one of those Motorola Photon phones did you? You know, the one Android users are most recently outraged over Motorola flat-out reneging on upgrading the OS?

      1. He claims to be an Apple user for years, but he arrives here after Samsung loses $1+ billion court case.

        Yeah, definitely a Samsung troll.

Even BLN, an Apple-come-lately, isn’t that odious.

  3. as long as apple still cares about Steve, they won’t be developed furthermore in the future. apple needs to escape from Steve shadow as quickly as possible. could Tim do it? it’s very questionable. after Steve, apple won’t expect the same impact on the market. the direction will be adjusted soon.
