Other than watching on the road or at a friend’s house who only has bunny ear antennae, why not just watch through your DVR? Watching past broadcasts you forgot to record is useful though.

And that cable providers will provide apps that bundle different packages of channels? Such that you carry your channel packages with you wherever you go, and watch on any TV you want? e.g., take HBO with you over to your buddy’s house who doesn’t own HBO and watch away? Is this the “I think we’ve cracked it” paradigm Jobs was referring to? Or am I being ridiculously obvious at this point?

As of last check, DirecTV & AT&T U-verse were among those missing from the list that can use WatchESPN, so that eliminates a lot of potential users from taking advantage of the app.
