  1. Maybe something else is going on that day or one of the key players is traveling that day.

It will be an interesting call. I’m particularly interested in the Mac numbers – it would be ubercool if they can get close to 6M macs sold. With the rMBP it is possible.

    1. Isnt’ the number of Macs sold irrelevant? Does Apple still make computers? Real ones – like the MacPro? I thought they had become, as Steve Jobs promised, a mobile device company. Or maybe a TV manufacturer.

      1. I realize that you are being sarcastic, but MBPs and MBAs are mobile devices, too. Apple still makes great computers – some of them are highly portable (iPod touch, iPhone, iPad), some are traditionally portable (MBP & MBA), and some are variants on classic desktops (workstation MP, all-in-one iMac, and small format Mac mini).

Apple has neglected a couple of these segments and a lot of Mac users are justifiably concerned. But Apple still makes computers and has promised to bring great new hardware to the market soon. Unlike Microsoft, Apple is not in the habit of pre-announcing what turns out to be vaporware.
