Business Insider reviews Apple’s iPhone 5: ‘The closest thing to a perfect phone, ever’

“Apple’s iPhone 5 fulfills the true potential of everything a smartphone should be able to do,” Jay Yarow reports for The Business Insider.

“In the past, the iPhone was great for everything but making phone calls. It is now good for making phone calls. It was a good camera, but struggled in low-light situations. It’s now good in low-light situations,” Yarow reports. “It was great for checking the web, but it took forever to get the web to connect on 3G. With LTE, that’s not an issue.”

Yarow reports, “After using the iPhone 5 for five days, I feel like it is pretty much a perfect smartphone.”

  Of course, since the most of iOS application use Google’s advertisement network. The bulk of mobile profits go from there; maps and YouTube were only small portion anyway.

I must admit, after playing with one in the Apple Store on Saturday, I might just trade in my 4S and buy a 5.

    The size is great. The camera is great. The fit and finish are beautiful. But what I love is the glass. Sooooo thin. You really feel like you’re touching the images, not a layer of glass.

      I walked in to work today… 2 android sufferers knew I was leaving work last night to get my iPhone 5.
      
      so of course they walked up to me to see it.
      
      First words.
      Guy 1. Holy crap! it’s so thin..
      Guy 2. Damn.
      
      Both grabbed their Android “phones” in one hand and my iPhone 5 in the other to judge weight.
      
      Now, both of these guys were at different times. And I did not say a word except “Yes” when asked if I got it, and “Here” when I handed it to them. I wanted to see what they would say on their own.
      
      Apple, Mission Accomplished.
      
      Tonight I was at a dinner/ceremony with my parents, My mom did not know I was getting the 5. (She has a white 4S and loves it) I asked her to pull her iPhone out so I could show her something new in iOS 6 (a ruse to get the iPhone in her hand) And I whip out the 5 and hand it too her.
      First thing she does after saying “Wow” is note how light it is. She then referred to her 4S as a brick lol. (Well it is in a pink Otterbox defender now)
      
      Rasta/Others. Find someone that has an iPhone 5 and ask to hold it. Words can’t explain it… and a tethered iPhone 5 in a store, is just not the same. the security stuff they have on them probably weighs just as much as the phone itself.

I have been using the iPhone since Friday and it’s just an amazing product – beautiful to look at and hold, super fast, amazing perfect sized screen and form factor. Super fast. I love every time a new iPhone is released the media focuses on the littlest things that may not be perfect and miss the bigger picture. The iPhone 5 is definitely a leap forward and by far the best product I have ever purchased.

  the guy that tried steering a customer away from the iPhone 5 (customer had an iPhone 4 and wanted to upgrade) and towards the stupid S3 because “iOS 6 is junk and it will slow your iPhone down”
  
  I couldn’t take it after 5 minutes of apple bashing, and stepped in to correct him. I explained to the customer that iOS 6 is actually pretty damn fast. And that the Maps app is really the only point of complaint with people. And I explained to him that at least in our area the maps works fine, we don’t have the 3D part yet… but it works here.
  
  In the end, he got the iPhone 5. oh, and went with the clerk I was dealing with
  She was also an iPhone user, and when I told here that I had just about enough of the other sales guys lies… she said “I know what you mean, we hear it every day”
  When he said the S3 blows the iPhone 5 away in speed…. thats when I called his ass out.
  
  Used the iPhone 5 display model to bring up the reviews that prove him wrong.

I just got my new iPhone 5 blk last night, all I can say is wow! Apple outdid itself this time around, it’s so beautiful I can’t put it into words.
