Introducing the iPhone 5. Now taking beautiful photos in panorama is as simple as saying “cheese.”

The iPhone 5 is here. The biggest and tallest yet somehow thinnest and lightest iPhone yet.

        1. Yeah, I’ve noticed his mellowing down as well; it does take some of the fun away from the forum though. Fortunately, we still have Pat, Edwards etc. to keep us entertained.

    1. I think the Apple thought is much bigger than BLN. This is a direct jab at Shamsteal aka Samsung. And brilliant it is in it’s simplicity. May Tim Cook be ever more wary of poor advertising ideas and execution in the future we see from others we expect it from but not from Apple. Folks, I think Tim’s learning.

      1. By the end of the first commercial I was thinking “what a great voice” and I was wondering if it was indeed from Jeff Daniels (I still think Gettysburg was one of his best all time roles). He’s got a fantastic voice that integrates so well with the script and imagery. These ads are fantastic, as they should be.

  1. Gotta agree. Much better. Whimsically fun demonstrations of good design, form meeting function. Far better than those crap genius ads. And quite frankly, who gives a shit about what Samule L. Jackson or Martin Scorsese think about any technology? I admit, Zoe Deschanelle I will listen to indefinitely.

    1. Hilarious! Yeah I’d love to see that parody of the Samsung Boogie Board phone.

What’s scary is anyone with a good idea and an HD video DSLR can create a great ad. And the fans and websites do a pretty good job. Must make ad agencies nervous and crazy. The democratization of making commercials. Doritos annually asks fans to try and make a commercial for the Super Bowl with a million dollar prize for the winner. Apple should do this too, I’d love to see what the fans would come up with and might do one myself.

  2. I just watched the first one. The thumb commercial…

Brilliant. They need to do these things.. Too much saber rattling about the wrong subject. It’s about time Apple puts the topic back on track..

I have been reading about others now complaining that screens are too big. I hope this fad is over.
