Everyone needs help or falls on hard times at some point. Many are lucky to have the support of friends, family, or religious institution without the need for Government intervention. No shame in that for anyone involved.

The 47% number is a lie. In the first quarter of 2011, the Wall Street Journal reported that 26 percent of the population lived in a household where at least ONE PERSON was on Medicaid, as well as 16 percent for Social Security, 15 percent for Medicare, and 15 percent for food stamps. What is true is that 47% of Americans live in a household where SOMEONE gets one of these government benefits, educational grants, or unemployment benefits.

Romney’s statement that 47% of Americans receive government entitlements and consider themselves victims is a misrepresentation…a lie. I receive social security because I am retired and I paid into the system for 50 years, starting when I was 15 (lied on the application about my age to get the job). That means Romney is counting me and the other 5 people who live in my household as deadbeat, unemployables who consider themselves victims while sucking on the public teat. How do you think that plays with the 3 of us who’ll be voting this time? The only victimization I’m worried about is Romney and Ryan taking away the benefits I’ve EARNED.
