iPhone 5 queues appearing around the world

“Across the country and overseas, small groups of potential iPhone 5 buyers have begun to form lines outside of Apple Stores,” Greg Sandoval reports for CNET.

“Employees at Apple Stores in Chicago; Palo Alto, Calif.; and Southlake, Texas; confirmed that people began waiting outside their stores starting today. People are also waiting for the iPhone 5 to go on sale in Sydney, Australia,” Sandoval reports. “That’s all well and good, but talk about Johnny Come Lately. Some of the line sitters at Apple’s 5th Avenue store in Manhattan have been in line since Thursday.”

Sandoval reports, “So far, all the signs indicate that Apple is going to sell an unprecedented number of phones.”

Sorry but thank god i ordered mine off apples web site….. and if it does come a on the 20th even better…. call me a stick in the mud, but did not find queueing for the iphone 4 fun at all… sorry. And my nano sim is already active in my iphone 4 using a nano sim to micro sim adapter :-)…. so i am ready to go… thinking of you all, queuing out in the cold ;-).

    1. Was waiting since Saturday, I called apple yesterday, they said that my phone has been here in the US, ( Jonestown, PA?) and just waiting to be delivered on Friday. Apparently, they already have stocked some of them here before the preorder date?
