What ‘success’? Amazon loses money with every Kindle Fire and Fire HD sale. Some success. It’s called BUYING MARKET SHARE.

The Google Nexus 7 may be a different story. But we don’t know. They may well be buying market share as well, for all they’ll tell us.

IOW: Hey Dan. Your business has to make a PROFIT in order to be ‘successful’. So how about you publish the readily available numbers about what ‘tablets’ make the most profit? I was forced to use a Nokia, then a Blackberry at work. They were useless for doing anything but making calls and reading an occasional email, if I was really desperate to read it. Once I got a personal iPhone the others stayed on my desk all the time, useless pieces of crap.

What is it about people like him that supports thieving outfits like SamDung. They make themselves complicit in the theft. Never could figure that one out. Then there was that Olympic apple ad that pretty much everyone like me detested. I’d hear the comments that those commercials weren’t made for me, the longtime fan, but for those who maybe still unaware of Apple… And yes, there are those who still don’t know what an Apple Genius is or that the stores are for Apple users to find solutions.

If you apply that thought to the leaks, it’s not that far of a leap that these leaks aren’t to disappoint or spoil the present ion for us but maybe to stay continuously in the news even when others release new products who wish to be rivals.

Take Amazons new devices? I wager to bet no one in your office that’s not a techie can tell you the specs of that device? However, these so called leaks gave been abundantly present on mainstream media. From your CNN and FoxNews, to the local news anchors and morning talk shows.

This media hype that’s been generated by loose lips have helped Apple far more that hurt. Die hard fans will buy anyway, but Apple is getting the attention of the masses and burying the competition who can simple wish to get this much free press, social buzz, and organic excitement from an unreleased product.

When we get the new iPhone it’ll still be the talk of the town, and the competition still won’t have the coverage in the press.

From a marketing stance, these rumors don’t piss me off nearly as much as they do from a fanboy stance. It’s a risky marketing approach but a valid one. Either way, all eyes continue to be on Apple and my stock is doing well.
