“MacRumors reader Michael Rou has managed to get his hands on both a pre-production iPhone 5 case and a pre-production iPad mini case and posted comparison photos on Flickr,” Arnold Kim reports for MacRumors.
“The cases were created by case manufacturers in anticipation of the upcoming models,” Kim reports. “Designs are based on leaked specs coming out of Foxconn factories.”
Kim reports, “The photo does a great job showing the relative sizes of the various devices.”

How does the 4s fit into the iPhone 5 case? I thought the 5 was much slimmer. It looks like it fits right in exept for the fact that the case is taller.
AFAIAA, the 4, 4s and 5 are the same width. Height and thickness are the differences.
I hope they didn’t ramp up too much ahead of time. If any of the leaked specs aren’t final, they could end up with a large inventory of unique picture frames.
ill buy them all
There were many cases shown before the 4s came out ‘proving’ it would be thinner/tapered/teardrop shaped, yada, yada, yada…
I have a Kickstarter order for a highly protective, impact resistant case for the iP5, and they won’t even think of producing a prototype until they have a physical example to measure. These have got to be pure speculation, probably run off on a 3D printer in a local Maker fab.
