“Apple on Friday updated the App Store for iOS 6 beta with significant layout and search results upgrades seemingly inspired by “Chomp,” the app search engine acquired by Apple earlier this year,” AppleInsider reports.
“The new App Store made available to developers running the upcoming iOS 6 sports a redesigned look based on app cards or tiles rather than the list view seen in iOS 5,” AppleInsider reports. “Apple appears to be implementing some of the features acquired from its recent purchase of app search engine Chomp, which had a similar tile interface. ”
AppleInsider reports, “It should be noted that Apple appears to be actively tweaking the software, and any features described at the time of this writing may not necessarily be active when the product is introduced to the public later this fall.”

They shouldn’t use the word “tile,” it sounds to Microsoftian.
You shouldn’t use the word “inspired” sounds Samsungian.
I saw a screenshot of the iPhone App Store using these ’tiles’ earlier, and frankly, it looks like a terrible idea. When you search for something, you can only see one result at a time, and you have to swipe between them (you can see it here: http://9to5mac.com/2012/08/30/app-store-updated-within-ios-6-new-search-result-layout-genius-recommendations-turned-on-and-more/).
That seems infinitely less user friendly to me, although the above article seems to suggest that they’ve reverted to list view on the iPhone for the time being, I hope it stays that way.
it’s really, really terrible. I saw it too.
The problem with the current layout is that it’s hard to wade thru the common results and find unique apps. Now it’s a million times worse
head over to macrumors and read the comments there… Everyone is pissed. They’re gonna have to revise this ASAP b4 release

but still nothing about massive photos storage and management. iOS 6/iCloud deserve this. more money Apple.
