Give you a feel for UK iPad penetration – I gave a sit-down lunch party for big sister’s 70th a month or so ago.

All ages present 9-90, and… two iPads over lunch, sound off… passed around for folks to keep up with (iP 01) Grand Prix (iP) 02 Wimbledon.

Result? Happiness all round, and tech-buying decisions.

How can Apple’s “clear message” include unannounced products (7″ iPad)??
As an aside, we usually skip an i generation. So we’ll be getting the ‘iPad 4′ and iPhone 5 when they come out. I’ve heard many, many people say the same thing.

… but the next big battle will be fought in the business space. Indeed, the ongoing rivalry is shaping up to be a battle of the Titans.

Presumably the ‘Titans’ in the WhateverPad market are Apple, Google and that has-been company. Right now there is only Apple in the WhateverPad market. Anything else is either delusional or speculative.

Let the so-called ‘battle’ begin!

OIC. This is another loony speculative article. I’ll believe Apple give a rat’s about any imaginary 7″ market when I see the device. Otherwise the 7″ remains The Stupidest Rumor of 2012. Rumor suckers are a dime-a-dozen.

Yep, when all the research companies adjust their Samsung numbers according to the ratio established by court documents, iPad share will zoom to 90%.

The iPod, all over again. But wait, didn’t the (google financed) tech media and “blogosphere” stories tell us it would be like windows and NOT like the iPod. And that Gooooooogle would come to inherit the earth?

Eric “the mole” Schmidts little plan for total global domination of information systems not working out exactly as he planned.

Good thing for all I think. And it proves the public actually decides and chooses, not just does what CR and the tech press tell them. Which is, I must admit, reassuring in these times.
