Samsung may be fined at a cost equal to or less than the cost of the licensing deal. They maybe fined at a cost more than the cost of the licensing deal. Being fined it is likely that no iPhone ripoffs will be imported into the USA, but this ruling would not permit Samsung selling the ripoffs in other countries. Apple will have to sue Samsung in every country on the planet and win in every cass to effect a complete ban.

Don’t tell me no one here remembers Zune Tang. Zune Tang was our own mock troll. However this “Zune Tang(R)” (registered trademark) is not the original and authentic Zune. The real Zune did not have a registered trademark and his comments were much more clever, pithy, humorous and obviously a backhanded poke at real trolls.

Because Samsung didn’t wanna make it appear as though they copied iPhone. If they had accepted the licensing deal, they would have also publicly accepted that they had copied Apple. Now, in court, their decision to not accept the deal will support their case of not being copy cats.
