“The US Patent and Trademark Office officially published a series of twenty-five newly granted patents for Apple Inc. today,” Jack Purcher reports for Patently Apple.
“This particular report covers a single, wild and crazy patent that touches on advancing television, advanced 5D technology, interactive gaming, teleconferencing, advanced tactile feedback technology, virtual reality data gloves and even a unique touch signature for starting a future vehicle,” Purcher reports.
Purcher reports, “Apple’s newly granted patent provides them with a wide range of potential advantages. Here are just a few of those listed in the patent [including] a potential ‘four’ and ‘five dimensional’ capability, wherein the force-vector direction as well as the magnitude of force is measured.”
Tons more, including Apple’s patent application illustrations an diagrams, in the full article here.
5D? They’ve become more powerful than we can possibly imagine.
Remote VR love in a “penguin” suit.
WOW !!
“… just a few of those listed in the patent [including] a potential ‘four’ and ‘five dimensional’ capability…”
Apple just invented time travel?
Of course not. Some subatomic particles have been doing that since the universe banged itself into existence.
But, as with all things, Apple took the idea and perfected it and made it easy to use.
Look for the iWayBack at your local Apple retail store this fall.
😉
Apple is tapping into undiscovered dimensions?
According to some proponents of string theory eleven dimensions may exist.
Different string theories = different required dimensions. I read about one that requires twelve dimensions. The favored ‘M’ theory requires ten.
Needless to say, we’re still feeling out way in the dark.
Patent. It’s good only when it can actually serve its purpose. Those lawyers those judges those customers… What can we expect?
Good that even when Apple lost their patents cases, they are still leading miles away from those shameless copiers.
Samsung, start your copiers. Since there is no downside to theft, you’d be stupid not to.
You beat me to it! I was thinking the very same thing. 🙂
“They copied all they could follow,
But they couldn’t copy my mind.
“So I left ’em sweatin’ and schemin’,
a year and a half behind…”
Will Bucaroo Balmer follow Apple to the 8th Dimension?
iCar is coming: want!
OMG! and I just bought an 3D-TV and 3D player last week!!!
Well, then, you’re 2 D’s down already.
Mmmmmmm…Double D’s…
Doesn’t time travel start at 6D?
I dunno about time travel, but for us seniors, life begins at 6D. [ducks]
omg Apple what have you done! *enter Skrillex song here*
What next? I can’t keep buying new gear every year.
