Major trouble, with a billion dollars in the bank? No, not really. Certainly they were in far less “trouble” than many of the companies that wired gives a pass to or even gloats over.

Wired are Apple haters, plain and simple (to deny it requires you to shut you eyes put your fingers in your ears and drone “la la la la…” endlessly)

The magazine moves one step closer to the National Inquirer, insisting all the while that it alone is different from all the other recession-challenged, hit-whoring publications whose revenue streams increasingly depend on advertising generated by sensationalistic headlines as opposed to reader loyalty responding to journalistic integrity, unbiased reporting, and morally defensible editorial policy.

They didn’t place Christ’s crown of thorns on anyone else, in trouble or not. They only crucified Apple. so many tech mags exist.
wired is the only true democratic, fairly priced, non-greedy mag around, costing only $1/issue. ads pay for it, yet all other mags still abuse prices.

so i always loved Wired for it pure journalism, fair price, great content. unlike most mags, more content than ad pages and more intellect.

however, the current Steve Jobs cover basically calls Steve a buddhist tyrant, inspirational jerk.

all this fuss about Steve being a tyrant or jerk, parking on handicapped spots, screaming at staff etc. who cares?! did he not change and improve the world many times over?!

Evolution or Revolution requires tyranny!
otherwise nada would’ve changed!

he even sacrificed his life for us all. do you think his cancer, ulcers etc. were not caused by him having to fight mammoth battles at ever stage of progress, because everyone else outside Apple, from bureaucrats, to lawyers, to government, to other tech firms were not idiotic and misunderstood his advancements, and tried to block progress at every possible occasion?!

so it’s easy for closed-minded, status quo, standards people or society to name-call him. the real tyrants were the rest of us who blocked change, evolution, as we were blind or feared.

Wired was always “too cool for school”, coveting leader-of-the-pack status, knowing it all before anyone else and salting their own tail by stealing glitz from Vanity Fair and Snitz from The New Yorker. They secretly resented Steve Jobs who, all by himself, took over Cool.
