Entrepreneurial spirit, drive, goal orientation, the desire to win, creativity, vision do not come from the friking government, they don’t come from one or two good teachers, and they sure as hell don’t come from infrastructure.&lt;/em&gt;

I couldn&#039;t agree more with that statement. Business is your religion and religion is infused into your money. The Fed is the Pope who loves to make appearances on the balcony of Wall Street&#039;s opening bell.

You&#039;re thinking is myopic about what the government does. All of you, who haven&#039;t at least worked in the government, have no clue. Government is so big, you can&#039;t even begin to describe it using your own paltry vocabulary with anything more than straw men, so you attack it. Like they did the first time they saw an eclipse.

Ooohhhh. Boogeyman.

Have you thought for a minute how much this entrepreneurial spirit you speak of was endowed with the military&#039;s one-off&#039;s? Howard Hughes was the first entrepreneur who funded all of his pet projects using government cheese, preserving his wealth for posterity.

I know, he&#039;s a big fish, but Zuckerberg was a small businessman five-years ago and now he holds the pulse of millions of people and he&#039;s sharing it all with the world. The point is, the way you glorify business is scary because I know the truth about business and business ain&#039;t your friend.

How many small businesses are there with their hooks in the government cheese? Suckling like pigs in kept pens while suffering from Stockholm Syndrome! Never mind about the sleazy small business crooks who are siphoning billions with bad intentions from Medicare and Social Security.

Business in America cannot function without government resources! But if you&#039;re going to take the cheese, then you have to be kept. How many business people in America are kept?

Any business taking government handouts should put a sticker in the window, so that we know you don&#039;t need our business because your set for life. We&#039;ll go next door, k?]]></description>

You can find anything you want on the Net and yet you only search for things that reaffirm your belief system; stay cozy in your world of… whatever. 

Something a lot of people misunderstand is that, here in the US, the people are the government. So yes, if you understand your role in the government, which is society, is our country, and our civil duty, then the government can solve most any problem because it should have the most proper people representing the population. The problem is, we have many (not all) people who sleep with corporations, have their own agendas and the like and they are who run for office and get elected.

Then they nominate this &quot;businessman&quot; (who&#039;s been running for President for eight years at least) who has the worst possible record to run on at this point in time, has a much lower personal approval rating than Obama, and who refuses to release his tax returns and is doing everything he can to distract from that refusal.  None of which is likely to make his election any easier, or even likely.

Top all that off with Republicans in the States backing as many batshit crazy ideas about abortion, contraceptives and who knows what other truly unpopular crap (like voter id laws) as they can and you&#039;ve got a party that seems determined to blow this election.

And those wonderful budget surplus years?  They were brought to you by a Republican Congress and a Democratic President, meaning bi-partisan cooperation.  Notice what happened to the budget and the debt once the Republicans got a Republican President too!

Stimulus bills like the infrastructure bill, DO tend to create jobs, since it provides money for the government to contract with private firms to fix real, physical things, which takes real people to physically repair.

Hence, those private firms must HIRE more people to work, thus decreasing the unemployment rate, and putting that money in those new workers&#039; pockets which they will then SPEND, thus spreading that stimulus money around the economy with each subsequent transaction.
