“Laurene Powell Jobs has reportedly purchased a home in the area within the last few days, according to the editors of Sun Valley Guide, a local magazine,” Claire Atkinson reports for The NY Post.

“The house on the border with nearby Ketchum, Idaho, is said to be a small double A-frame home valued between $3 million and $4 million,” Atkinson reports. “Powell Jobs, who is expected to attend the Allen & Co. annual conference, is Silicon Valley’s richest woman, worth an estimated $9 billion, according to Forbes.”

MacDailyNews Take: Laurene could buy one $3 million home per day for the next 8.2 years before she runs out of money, not including any interest and investment income that she’s undoubtably earning.

      1. Not really… for instance; what homes has Ballmer purchased in the last few years?
How about Larry Page… Sergy Bryn? Eric “the mole” Schmidt?

Nope they is a consorted effort to constantly hound those associated with Apple. (don’t forget the whole Tim cook thing or the Steve jobs attempting to build a new house (which they managed to stall for a decade, till he died))

Don’t know whether it is haters or just feeding the public’s insatiable interest in all things apple. (or a combination of the two)

      2. Being the wealthy widow of a famous person does not make her a public figure and she should be left alone. If she chooses to put a foot forward, then let it be news.

      1. MDN needs a chat room away from story comments.

As to politics in general, it affects everything from the design of your iPad to the price it is sold for to how it can be legally used. It’s germane.

  1. This is definitely close to stalking, and adds exactly nothing to the typical discussions on this site. So MDN, how about it? Why not cut out this kind of gossip entirely before it turns into muck-racking (and leave that sort of thing to Gawker and the others)?

    Just sayin’

  2. steve Ballmer recently purchased a luxury condo in Manhattan for $450,000,000. Extensive renovations are under way and Ballmer will move in as soon as the current tenant, Oscar THE Grouch finds suitable dwellings close to the subway line.
