“If you are looking to pick up the iPhone 4S in the next couple of days, make sure to check your local Target store before purchasing,” Jake Smith reports for 9to5Mac.

“Thanks to a couple of tips sent to us via email, we now know that various Target locations are running a deal on the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 for all carriers,” Smith reports. “The 16GB iPhone 4S is available for $149.99 on a two-year contract, while the iPhone 4 is $49.99 on two-year contract — both at a $50 discount.”

  1. It would be great to have The New iPhone/iPhone 5 or whatever in June since my upgrade became available in January! Probably just wishful thinking but I can always hope

  2. There have been 4 iPhone launches. Three occurred in June or July. The fourth occurred in October.

I believe that Apple wants to have production going full speed at the start of the December quarter. That means the next gen iPhone will launch in June or July (August at the very latest).

  3. My daughter just kicked my iPhone 4S out of my hand and onto concrete shattering the glass yesterday. I’m going to be highly annoyed at paying $200 for a screen repair if Apple’s coming out with a new phone at the end of this month.

    1. I dropped my iphone from a crowded balcony on the French Quarter last Halloween, and watched it explode on the cobble stones below.. If i had the AppleCare+ ($99) I could have taken the shattered parts to the New Oreleans Apple Store and gotten a new phone for 49 bucks!

      1. AppleCare specifically disallows coverage due to “accident, abuse, neglect, misuse (including faulty installation, repair or maintenance by anyone other than Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider), unauthorized modification, extreme environment (including extreme temperature
or humidity), extreme physical or electrical stress or interference, fluctuation or surges of electrical power, lightning, static electricity, fire, acts of God or other external causes”.

Dropping your phone is NOT covered, it’s the stores discretion if they choose to repair/replace a damaged item.

  4. I’m telling you, as wrong as I may be, I think new iPhone coming out in Juneso as to open up Septmber Holiday Buying Season for newly released TV from Apple.

  5. pricing mistake – prices back to normal
stay tuned for more pricing mistakes
Apple will not allow discounted pricing until the last minute before a new version comes out and is angry with these vendors for doing it sooner to clear their inventory
