“There is no doubt that Apple (AAPL) is about to unleash the iPad 3, the third edition in the company’s series of dominant tablet computers,” Michael Comeau writes for Minyanville. “Apple recently sent out an invitation to reporters, including a graphic of what is almost undoubtedly an iPad, along with the message: ‘We have something you really want to see. And touch.'”
“Anticipation of the iPad 3, and the iPhone 5, has Apple blasting its way over the $500 billion market capitalization mark, much to the chagrin of crybaby bears that regularly fall over themselves to call the top,” Comeau writes.
“I’m far more intrigued by the phrase, ‘And touch,’ which implies a significant upgrade in the touchscreen interface,” Comeau writes. “The fact that Apple is stepping up its advancements in the interface yet again should have the Google (GOOG) Android tablet market shaking in its boots… The Google Android tablet world is in a lot of trouble. The Kindle Fire and NOOK tablet have destroyed the notion of making money at the low end, and the high end is about to be walloped by the iPad 3.”

Prediction: A real apple tv as one more thing. After they intro iPad 3.
Interesting thought, that this is really an Apple TV introduction and not an iPad 3 intro . . .
However, I really don’t want to get up and touch my TV to change channels (I’m sure I wouldn’t have to), but my real concern is my kids touching the screen and me having to clean it off all the time!

I have to admit would like a stylus for drawing painting. A pressure sensitive set of APIs with a bluetooth 4.0 stylus would be killer.

The “see” part could well be Apple TV build right into your iPad3, my prediction from yesterday could yet be reality. Apple TV is in fact software built right into your os device, no more set top boxes and no more imaginary 40inch physical TV sets, this could be amazing, if Apple do this and i suspect they will, it’ll be a game changer. only 7 days to find out.
Could be an AppleTV device intro, sure. ‘See’, after all. We’ve already seen iPads, after all, and just looking at them ain’t that relevant compared to a TV device. ?
And what would get the video from the iPad into the TV?
There has to be a physical connection to the set, unless the set has wifi and runs Apple software.

Either your post is a joke or Apple would have to have rejected SJ’s vision of simplified product line, no 7″ tablets and a focus on cheap junk to dominate a market.
