Driven by strong iPhone and iPad demand, Foxconn reports record December revenue

“Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) reported unconsolidated December revenues of NT$316.944 billion (US$11 billion), a 3.17% increase on month and 29.53% increase on year. Accumulated revenues for 2011 reached NT$2.77 trillion, a 19.89% increase compared to 2010,” Ninelu Tu and Jackie Chang report for DigiTimes.

“Foxconn indicated the growth in revenues was due to increased demand of consumer electronics,” Tu and Chang report. “PC and telecom business units have also been growing continuously.”

Tu and Chang report, “Industry sources believe high demand for Apple products such as iPhone and iPad helped to push Foxconn’s December revenues to a new record.”

    1. and the suicide rate per head of employee numbers is significantly lower than the rate per head of equivalent population number in the US.
You do know how many people Foxconn employ, don’t you?

  1. Ok PC sales are down. Yet, I believe one group reported this morning that corporate Mac sales were up 58% and is anyone on TV or at college not using an Apple Mac or iOS device? Apple iPhones are selling 2 iPhones to every 1 Android in the USA. iPad still has no tablet iKiller. I read today that Dell may get into the iPad killer war later this year at the end of 2012. (Really!) etc.

So, Apple suppliers are up huge, Apple iPhones are just starting sales in China and else where, SIRI has no Android iSIRI Killer to talk to yet, Apple TV is all the talking heads can think about now, … Do you think Apple sales and cash flow is either up or down? If I go into the Apple store this evening, can I walk out with an iPhone 4S yet? Does everyone own a BILLIN dollar server farm?

Is there another company on the planet worth investing in with an innovative future!

Hawaii 5-0 & NCIS:LA for two: looks like Galaxy Tabs to me, and they are always “magically” sending stuff to their “Sky Drive”. 5-0 also has a BAT. 😛

      1. There are at least two shows on TV where the cast use black laptops with a glowing Windows logo on the lid, in the manner that Apple introduced.

On show is “Leverage” on the TNT network; at this moment I can’t recall the other.

“Bones” uses Dells in the lab as instrument controllers, the real work is done on Macs.

As for colleges, where my wife teaches is hopelessly Windows. Pathetic thing is, they bought a few Macs. They put them in the front of the library (where the card catalogs used to be) so that prospective students will see them while on the campus tour. After they enroll they will realize the bait & switch scam perpetrated upon them. (My wife has been fighting the Mac battle on campus for over 20 years.)
