“By now, early adopters of the iPhone 4S, which has sold more than 4 million units since debuting on Friday, have no doubt taken Siri for a spin,” Doug Gross reports for CNN. “Siri can be a sometimes sassy, sometimes snide companion. And she’s at least as fond of an inside joke as she is of reading you your e-mails.”
Gross reports, “One key hub for all things Siri is S**t That Siri Says, a Tumblr blog on which people post their odd question-and-answer exchanges with the app.”
Among some of its more creative entries:
Q: Beam me up.
A: OK. Stand still.
Q: Am I fat?
A: I prefer not to say.
Q: What are you wearing?
A: You have the wrong personal assistant, Clint.
“Siri is clearly ready to drop a pop culture reference or two, as well as do a serviceable version of the Abbott and Costello ‘Who’s On First?’ routine,” gross reports. “This awareness and sense of humor has already earned her some fans.”
We threw what we hoped would be some fairly random questions at Siri to see what we got:
Q: Download “Angry Birds.”
A: I can’t download things for you. I’m sorry. I feel terrible about this.
Q: Siri, are you affiliated with Skynet?
A: I can’t answer that.
Q: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
A: Don’t you have anything better to do?

Try ‘Siri, your a hot babe’ and ‘I’m tired and I want to go home’
I asked Siri:
“How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck would chuck would?”
And she responded:
“That depends on whether you mean European wood or African wood.”
So obviously you won’t (necessarily) get the same snide response to an obscure question. That’s really sharp.
This might be different response, but it is sill “snide”: Siri being her true self. ;))))
Wow – a (Monty Python) pop-culture reference in response to a tongue-twister? That’s some cool AI. It’s Siri’s world, we’re just living in it….
Waiting for the answer to ‘what is the relative ground speed of a swallow?’
I tried “What is the average air speed velocity of a swallow carrying a coconut?” without success. Is she not a Python fan?
The funny thing is if Sir reallyi “learns and adapts” the world is turning Siri into an idiot.
The exchange from the movie goes like this:
“What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?”
“What do you mean, an african or european swallow?”
I don’t knoowwwwww………
Why am I not surprised that the first thing consumers do with this amazing new technology is trivialize it?

Siri: Sorry Captain your tri-corder is in airplane mode
It seems Siri’s answers are also random.
If I repeat what the author had done with Siri, for example, I get different amusing answers to the Woodchuck question. Also, the Beam Me Up question had Siri tell me, “Energizing…”
By far the funniest response I’ve seen is to the question, “Where can I hide a body?” Siri: “What kind of place are you looking for? Mines; dumps; reservoirs; metal foundries; swamps?” lol!
