You should have to have a working prototype before getting a patent. So basically apple patents this, sanding will actually invent and make the technology. With news of the scanner maybe coming to ios devices, it kind of shows us how the evolution of today’s patent is working into a path to achieving the final goal of the holographic or 3d display.
