Screeny screen recording app for Mac is free for today only

Drew Wilson’s Screeny gives you the freedom to capture your videos or images at any size. Screeny is free via Apple’s Mac App Store for today only!

With Screeny, you can click & drag to resize the capture area or input the exact pixel dimensions to set to the size of the capture area. All the while you will get instant feedback on the capture area’s current pixel dimensions.

Screen casting just got a billion times better with Screeny. Now you can capture a specific portion of your screen, rather than having to record your entire desktop. This can drastically reduce video file size and bring focus to a specific portion of your screen.

Note: Screeny works in OS X Lion (10.7) & Snow Leopard (10.6) only.

Features:
• Screeny is a Menu Bar app and a very simple & powerful tool.

    1. I can’t remember the app, but you can strip the audio from YouTube vids.
I use video download helper (think that’s the name) allows you to directly download ANY video, Also allows you to convert the video after download.

      1. It should be noted that Download Helper only works with Firefox and not Safari. It’s one of the most useful programs/plug-ins out there and I use it almost every day to download YouTube videos. There’s no need to convert downloaded videos because ‘quick download’ allows you the option of downloading the file in QuickTime format (m4a).

        1. Yeah I forgot about that.

I know there is a safari addon also, different name… I saw it but I use firefox 99% of the time. Noscript for safari… And i’ll use safari. Although ghostery works good.

    1. Nice pixels honey. But suddenly…

Just a busted Fembot. Figures. 😛

  1. I downloaded it, tried it not realizing it’s a Foxfire extension, if that is what it is and have been having difficulty with copy and past as well as Mail signatures ever since.

I deleted it and didn’t find anything obvious in Library that could be causing this but it’s really irritating.

  2. Thank you for your sharing ,and I’m wondering I can give you another soft for mac which can capture frame region, freehand region, one or all windows and full screen on Mac. What a pity ,it’s not a freeware . Maybe you can use it .
