Apple’s iTunes Store is streaming the entire Red Hot Chili Peppers’ I’m With You album.
In addition the album is available for pre-order for US$12.99 with an expected release date of August 30, 2011.
We’ve tested the stream and, for the first 10 minutes at least, it has played uninterrupted.
Stream RHCP’s I’m With You album in its entirety via Apple’s iTunes Store here.
[Thanks to MacDailyNews Reader “Lynn W.” for the heads up.]
“What I got you got to get and put it in you….iPhone”
Testing for something to come perhaps?
Amazingly, even available here in Canada. Loving it!
Kinda reminicent of when record stores had listening booths.
Try before you buy..
I like it!
Kinda like LaLa too..
I’m listening to it now. Amazing. I agree; it may be a test for something big & new from iTunes. Eat $hit, Spotify!
Well, if you asked your dog to leave his poop on the sidewalk, Spotify will come along soon enough to eat it.
Love that! Spotify wasn’t worth the hype, its promoters (Zuckerberg among them), be damned. And I’m not the sneaky Samsung or Eric Schmidt type; I always pick up. That’s why I bring four bags every time, as I “double-bag”.
The big holdouts I remember were Metallica, Led Zepellin, and The Beatles.
I don’t recall RHCP being among them.
Whoops… That’s why I didn’t see my comment…
I replied to the wrong post!
Sorry for the double post.
Isn’t this one of the bands who refused to allow their albums on iTunes, and their record label put their greatest hits album on? Quite the about-face.

Listening to it now….
Makes me want to buy it… Nice
yep, I’ll be buying this on cd from amazon.co.uk. Mainly because the cd is cheaper than an a totally inferior product from Apple.
Still can’t get my head round why itunes is popular over here. The itunes album is more expensive than the cd version and lates face it sounds worse than the old cassettes with no sleeve notes to boot.
Sorry, I’ve got no troll food for you.

Instant gratification? By the time you receive your CD, us iTunes buyers will have listened to the album a dozen times or more. (Unless you pay for expedited shipping, in which case, it’s not cheaper than iTunes any more, now is it?)
And as for “sounding better”, who the fsck cares? I listen to music while bicycling, at work, in the car. As long as the recording is relatively CD-quality, I’m not going to be able to tell the difference. Seriously, the only people who care about high-fidelity recordings are audiophiles, who are, by the way, some of the most delusional people on the planet. Audiophiles are what keep companies like Monster rolling in loot.

exactly.
Here, i’ll make the average Audiophile cringe even more…
I listen to my music (the small library i DO have..) with 1 earbud while i am at work… OMG… it’s not even Stereo… 😉
it doesn’t seem to want to work for me on my iPad. I just keep getting sent to the Artists’s Page. I don’t see any options beyond the usual purchase/preview links.
I think you have to be on a pc/Mac to listen.
Neither of my iOS devices could either.
Apologies for the grammar and spelling mistakes, started typing on my iPad and my 3 month old daughter was giving me grief…
Does she also think you’re an idiot?
Shame it’s pop music, though.
yeah I’m not a big fan of RHCP either, But so far it’s not bad… Not the greatest i’ve heard, but it isn’t bad.
I will bet you that Apple streaming the entire album… WILL generate sales. Before this thread, I wouldn’t have cared they put out a new album.. now… I am actually listening to it.
The question is how much sales will this generate?
