    1. If true, that is very funny. A bit sadder is the guy I knew in high school named Kent Marlborough. For those youngsters having grown up in the anti-tobacco era, those were two major brands of popular cigarettes in 1950’s when poor Kent was born.

  1. Interesting. Could this mean using a future iPod or iPhone as a mouse? For work Macs, you wouldn’t have to sign in if you had a security card to flash in front of your system. Maybe the same principle could be used to access your iTunes account without typing in anything. I’m sure that there’s other good apps that Apple could dream up here. That’s for sure.

  2. The application of NFC in these patents appears to have no association with the horror stories about NFC being used for human surveillance, in particular by marketing morons (those who have no respect for their customers).

I’m interested in where this will be going.

Just don’t ‘read me’ wherever I go in the world. I’m not interested and will not be cooperating. Instead I will happily create EMP devices to share with my friends and loved ones, to be used to BLOW OUT NFC surveillance receivers while we celebrate our resulting freedom. 😆
