RUMOR: Apple to ship 12-14 million iPad 2 units this summer

“As the IT market approaches the third quarter, the traditional peak season, Apple is turning more aggressive in placing orders for its iPad 2 and is set to ship 12-14 million units in the quarter, up from 7-9 million units in the second, according to market watchers,” Max Wang and Joseph Tsai report for DigiTimes.

Apple is owning tablets in 2011… will there be a ready for primetime competitor to the iPad in 2012?

With HP entering the tablet market, the other hunks of junk face increasing competition for the irrational NOT apple market… aka the internally thwarted who wish for more complexity to do simple tasks.

I hope this report doesn’t upset the dicks on CNBC who think Apple sales are disappointing so far this year and are expressing doubt about Apple because the iPhone 5 may not appear until September.
