Apple iPhones control interactive McDonald’s billboard to win food prizes in Stockholm (with video)

“McDonald’s, not exactly a hotbed of Swedish cuisine but a popular place to eat nonetheless, has installed an interactive billboard in Stockholm,” Steven Sande reports for TUAW.

“Enter a special URL, and you can play pong on the billboard with your iPhone,” Sande reports. “If you can survive for 30 seconds in the game, you get a digital coupon for some treats at Mickey D’s.”

Sande reports, “What’s brilliant is that you don’t need to download an app to play the game – just enter picknplay.se into a browser, and a web app checks your location to verify that you’re near the billboard.”

  1. Oh yeah baby I’m lovin’ it. So of you’re Morgan Spurlock or the guy who’s eaten 22,000 Big Macs, will you be a master of Pong just so you don’t have to pay for dinner?

  2. @Predrag

Different MacDonalds locations have been taking on a unique look over the past 10 years. Here in Canada, every McDonalds that you go to looks different, unlike the old days where they all had the same look and feel.

  3. Spread the American way of COWS, POTATOES, SUGAR and OBESITY across the globe!

Big Macs, fries and a Coke for everyone! Every day! All day long! Until your arteries harden and you die!

And thus the VEGANS shall inherit the Earth. 😉
