“iGuides.ru is on location in Moscow where the iPad 2 is launched today,” Seth Weintraub reports for 9 to 5 Mac.

“Even after a few months and undoubtedly lots of black market iPads making their way over there, iPad buyers are still excited,” Weintraub reports. “Speaking of Black Market, the prices for iPad 2s in Russia are PRETTY NUTS, at least according to the retailler in the story with prices ranging from $1200-$1500 dollars depending on the configuration”

  1. Picked up my iPad 2 yesterday. Downloading apps furiously and trying to work out how they work. This is one helluva device. I think the watching vdeos-listening to music thing is just a distraction from the heavy-duty stuff you can do with this thing. I don’t see how anyone who has experienced using this can resist getting one.

  2. Ohh just like the Playbook line.. no wait.. like the XOOOM line.. no wait, like the galaxy line… wait, wait.. those lines for android and RIM were “RETURN” lines ..

  3. Again: as I was saying this quarter’s sales figures for iPad (and iPhone) can not be yet considered as basis to see devices actual demand, since many big regions got the device for wide sales only now.

3rd calendar quarter will be more representative on this.

  4. The Russian people went through perestroika (rebuilding–see Glossary), and glasnost (public voicing–see Glossary) in the late eighties and early nineties.

Now the Russian people are just gladnost (public happy) to finally experience iPadestroika (remagical), Da!!!
