As for the personal hotspot feature for Apple iPhone, “we have been told it’s all left to the carrier to decide. If a carrier requests it, five devices will be supported, but by default, it’s three,” Jonathan S. Geller reports for BGR.

“Oh, and we’ve also been told iOS 4.3 will be available for download publicly at 10AM PT today,” Geller reports.

  1. I have a question about the whole mobile hotspotting thing. If you have at&t do you have to pay for the tethering plan to get it? Because I thought I heard something like at&t giving 2gb to the people with the 25$ plan but please clarify?????????

    1. That’s next week… Don’t you read the other rumors?

I don’t think it will be released today, possible but I still think Friday with the iPad 2.
But it would be nice to fire up 4.3 on my iPad and iPhone prior to Friday though.

  2. Oh come on… They meant 10pm.
Stupid intern took it as AM.

I’m sure the rumor will be updated to reflect the correct time.

I bet it will be released 10am on the 11th though.

  3. This is a great way for Apple to find the people responsible for leaking information. I’ll bet that this was planted on purpose and someone will be loosing their job over this.

    1. Yup small stupid rumor told to a select few inside Apple so you KNOW who it’s from.. The smart insider would have seen it as such and not passed it on. However, THiS guy? Not so much.

  4. Just downloaded the itunes and got this message after it completed
    What’s new in iTunes 10.2
    • Sync with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.3.
    • Improved Home Sharing. Browse and play from your iTunes libraries with Home Sharing on any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.3.

Going to try that now NO LUCK

  5. iTunes 10.2 was released several days ago and is needed to support some features of iOS 4.3. While Apple hasn’t officially released 4.3, the Gold Master does not require a developer account and is widely available if you do some searching.
