  1. MDN, where are the posts about iOS 4.3 beta being release today?

I can’t wait to hear if Airplay is finally working in all the built-in apps!
Supposedly 4.3 officially supports 3rd party apps using Airplay.

  2. @Vatdoro,

Everybody else is writing about it. What can MDN add? They’ll get around to it when they can.

As for AirPlay, I already use it with 3rd party apps like Pandora (double-click home, then swipe left to the audio controls–any app can stream over AirPlay). I suspect 4.3 is just a UI improvement.

  3. @ Arnold Ziffel

It is! Almost a bit too soon, methinks…

In another couple of months it will be time for a refresh, soI’m going to hold out for that. I have my fingers crossed that Apple might add eSATA to the iMac. A long shot, I know, but I can dream, can’t I?

  4. XOM is a moving target, unlike MSFT. Price of oil is rolling higher and higher, and if the US starts growing again it will be $4 gas and $100+ oil again much faster than anyone realizes. NYMEX crude futures are at $92.07 today.

All in all, it’s to our stockholder advantage not to exceed XOM for a while….AAPL shareholders already have to live with a ridiculously P/E ratio on a high-growth company and being #1 in market cap won’t help that any.

Me, I’m Uncle Joe and I’m moving kind of slow at the Junction (only old farts like me and Arnold Ziffel will get that without Googling)

  5. Not with copper. And besides, it’s going to be a while before Lightpeak devices start appearing. I can get a FW800/eSATA RAID right now. I don’t think we’ll ever see USB 3 on Macs, they’ll hold out for Lightpeak, but probably not this year.

  6. @Uncle Joe: “AAPL shareholders already have to live with a ridiculously P/E ratio on a high-growth company”

I believe you meant to say “AAPL shareholders already have to live with a ridiculously LOW P/E ratio on a high-growth company.”
