Apple iBookstore publishes 6 free Mac and iOS eBooks for developers

Apple Online Store“Apple’s passing out Christmas gifts early for Mac and iOS developers. The company is offering six development books [via the iBooks app and its attendant iBookStore] covering Mac OS X and iOS development — for free,” David W. Martin reports for Cult of Mac.

“The six titles include: Cocoa Fundamental’s Guide, The Objective-C Programming Language, iOS Application Programming Guide, Object Oriented Programming With Objective-C, iOS Technology Overview, and iOS Human Interface Guidelines,” Martin reports.

  1. As the article says: “The new eBooks aren’t really new, but they haven’t been available in the iBookstore until today. Previously developers could either read them online or download PDF versions to read later via developer.apple.com.” I’d think this is a more convenient platform on which to retrieve and read these books.
