“Apple’s passing out Christmas gifts early for Mac and iOS developers. The company is offering six development books [via the iBooks app and its attendant iBookStore] covering Mac OS X and iOS development — for free,” David W. Martin reports for Cult of Mac.
“The six titles include: Cocoa Fundamental’s Guide, The Objective-C Programming Language, iOS Application Programming Guide, Object Oriented Programming With Objective-C, iOS Technology Overview, and iOS Human Interface Guidelines,” Martin reports.

[Thanks to MacDailyNews Reader “Dan K.” for the heads up.]
These have been available as PDF download on the Developer pages for years.
As the article says: “The new eBooks aren’t really new, but they haven’t been available in the iBookstore until today. Previously developers could either read them online or download PDF versions to read later via developer.apple.com.” I’d think this is a more convenient platform on which to retrieve and read these books.
not new at all
no big deal
always available as PDF downloads from Apple
I recommend The Objective-C Programing Language.
I don’t want to give away the plot, but there is a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow.
No human interface in our store 🙁
iStocking stuffers? I think not..
