MLB next please. I’ll pay a season, monthly or per game rate especially if they dump the local blackout deal they currently have with cable TV.
If the NHL would drop their blackout restrictions for NHL Game Center, I’d get the subscription right now for my Roku and dump cable tv.
If NHL Sunday Ticket comes to AppleTV, Boxee, Roku, PS3, etc., then the cable and sat companies will have a real business crisis on their hands.

I think this is somewhat misleading. Streaming Sunday Ticket without DirectTV service is not a national program. Last year it was only in Manhattan. I think it expanded this year, but I do not think it was very widespread.
Hopefully, this rumor (which is supported by someone I know that works in legal for one of the hardware companies) is Direct TV’s method of rolling it out nationally.
Thats steep @ $20 a week. it’s not like they are going to sell it ala carte. They sell NFL sunday ticket for $340. Now they are trying to force 18 game season pushing it to 20 weeks(18games, 2 bye weeks) making you pay $400

Yeah, Sunday ticket is $340, WITHOUT red zone, webcast, etc. Once you add all the things that would make it worth 320, it is over $500.
I will gladly pay 20 a weekend. My team is from another market, on weeks when their games are not on my local coverage, I would pay 20 bones to watch them. Impulse buy, 20 bones is nothing..
The playoffs have always and will likely always be on one of the big 4 over the air networks. Cable is not needed in my market to watch the playoffs, even in HD..
