“Piper Jaffray’s Gene Munster echos ongoing rumors that [Apple] will introduce a new iPod touch with two cameras, enabling FaceTime calls,” MacNN reports.
“The analyst also believes an updated version of iTunes and Apple TV will be highlighted at the [company's September 1] event,” MacNN reports. “Each product is said to take advantage of a new cloud-based service, which will be powered in part by the massive data center in North Carolina.”

John Paczkowski reports for AllThingsD, “‘Apple is developing a data center in Maiden, N.C., that we believe could serve as the hub of a cloud-based service for iTunes content streaming to connected devices,’ Munster said in a note to clients… Also potentially on tap for the Sept. 1 event, says Munster: A new MacBook Air. ‘An updated MacBook Air, in our opinion, is a wildcard possibility. It has not been redesigned since its launch in Jan-08 and has not been refreshed with new specs in well over a year.’”
