  1. 3D software, in almost every case, requires Windows. Ex: Solid Works. Then trying to push those 3D files into a CNC machine again almost every time requires Windows.

Apple needs to offer these Windows only software suppliers some programing help or buy or develop the software for the Mac OS X. 75% of the students in college are now Mac users and they will be forced to develop things in Windows in the business world when they get a job. Anyone see a problem? If Apple wants another market, it would be theirs in a heart beat. Anyone see an iPad or iPod touch as the plugged in CNC controlling device?

  2. Jim – TIV, he is getting real old and that leaves him little time to crush Microsoft into obscurity. He is on schedule but he can only dance so hard for so long now.

  3. Did you all notice that the talking heads really do not see that it is more than the iPad hardware and it’d iOS 4 that is creating the tsunami demand for it? Were clueless and unable to see a bigger picture.

You can write an app for that the SDK is pretty cheap CNC machines run on spatial data input. You can spit that stuff out from OSX just as well as windows. You can probably control a CNC machine from a cell phone text message if you can pump it out to the USB port.

  5. So a video about ipad envy about an apple competitor being picked up by a ipad fandom site using a format that can’t be displayed on an ipad?

It’s like one of those little russian dolls, but containing irony.

  6. Nice going MDN. You embed a flash file and think it’ll just magically work on iOS devices. MarketWatch does support iOS if you actually go directly to the video – maybe you should embed the right thing before telling people to complain?

  7. Goofy guy in the middle certainly has the hots for the little hottie!

    Funny to watch.

    Unfortunately, I would be the same way. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”red face” style=”border:0;” />
