Analyst: Apple iPhone could boost Verizon revenue by $7 billion per year

Invisible Shield for Apple iPhone 4!“I know, I know, it seems a little early to get overly excited about yesterday’s Bloomberg report asserting that the Apple iPhone will come to Verizon Wireless early next year,” Eric Savitz blogs for Barron’s. “But it certainly seems logical to consider what the impact would be on Apple’s financial results if the reality matches the rumor.”

“Oppenheimer analyst Yair Reiner runs the numbers in a research note this morning, and nicely demonstrates why investors are so keen on the idea,” Savitz reports. “He thinks adding Verizon as a carrier partner would result in the sale of at least 12 million additional phones in the U.S. market which would mean more than $7 billion in incremental revenue.”

  1. I’m thinking this whole iPhone on Verizon whirlwind has more to do with temporarily pumping Verizon stock than reality.

    We need to make all stock transactions have a built in delay of 24 hours before execution. That would pretty well end the casino version of Wall Street and revert stock ownership to a type of investment rather than a type of chips in an east coast casino.
