Purcher reports, “We could eventually see this technology apply to future iPods, the Apple TV remote and perhaps more importantly, next generation MacBooks – where it really gets interesting.”

  1. Apple’s iPad will one day become a two panel configuration like a real book and then things get really interesting like having the ability to have one side used as a MacBook with an all LED keyboard but switch back to a magazine or whatever for reading as well. This patent points the way.

  2. I was surprised the last time they updated the Classic. I thought surely they’d phase it out for a really large capacity nano or iPod touch.

I’ll be surprised again if they find some non-capacity way to keep it relevant in the face of dropping flash prices.
