Looks like Apple will hit April 3 delivery dates, for the earliest pre-orders at the very least, with no problem.

@Me in LA… I’m thinking that Apple has a “delivery date” arranged with UPS so that it won’t come before April 3rd. Of course, if you bribe your local UPS carrier, you might be able to get past that stipulation!!

I’d be worried if it were during the week where family is in and out.

Apple has always shipped via FedEx to me… UPS has not Saturday delivery in my area. Now I must wait until Monday! Ugh!
Marketing. That’s what I’ve been missing.
Until now I was pretty sure they’d be able to sell 6-8 million in the first year. But I was thinking of word-of-mouth and exposure in the media — forgot all about actively marketing the thing.
If Apple and Best Buy (and maybe AT&T;) are out there pushing the iPad hard, this could be bigger than that. All those 10-12 million predictions may just be right after-all.
Not that it matters, I think they will hold until 4/3 to make sure the store is ready. At any rate I went into the UPS time estimation, shipped from Shenzen China today it should arrive at my door on 4/1
