During tonight’s Grammy Awards live television broadcast, Stephen Colbert whipped out an Apple iPad during the opening minutes of the show:

MacDailyNews Take: Don’t listen to your daughter, Stephen. For a second there, that iPad did make you look pretty cool.

Think Apple paid for that Grammy Awards placement? It’s a possibility, we suppose, but given the power Apple wields in the music industry, we highly doubt it. Let’s just say that if Steve Jobs calls up offering an iPad to use on-air, we bet an iPad gets used on-air.

Here’s Colbert begging for an “iTablet” on January 26th, the day before Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the iPad:
