Vodafone adds 20 more partners to distribute Apple’s iPhone in the UK

Steal of the Day - Updated Daily!“Vodafone is expected to confirm more approved iPhone dealers by the end of the month, and will bring on board 20 more in total by the end of May,” Devika Sen-Gupta reports for Mobile News.

“It has already partnered with 20 dealer partners for sale of Apple iPhone devices, including 10 direct ‘premier partner’ dealers and 10 Yes Telecom ‘gold partner’ connectors,” Sen-Gupta reports. “It is the first UK operator to launch the iPhone via direct and indirect channels simultaneously.”

Sen-Gupta reports, “Vodafone UK enterprise director Peter Kelly told Mobile News: ‘The next 20 partners are lined up. They are currently going through Apple-approved training, and will be able to sell iPhones by our Q1, which ends in May, subject to approval.'”

  1. Three major carriers now have the iPhone in the UK. Full steam ahead!

    If Apple bring out the new 4th Gen iPhone and move the 3GS to the entry level option it’s going to be a bloodbath for the competition.

  2. If Apple brings the iPhone 4G to more than one carrier in the U.S., it’s going to be a bloodbath for all other cell phone OEMs. I don’t see that happening until the 4G networks are rolling out, but Apple could surprise us yet again.
