Apple debuts new ad for 3G iPod touch: ‘Next Level Fun’ (with video)

Apple has debuted a new ad for their 3G iPod touch which the company introduced yesterday. The ad began airing on U.S. broadcast and cable television networks last evening and showcases iPod touch’s wireless multiplayer capabilities.

  1. Wait a minute!! As far as I know, “3G” means connectivity to a cellular data network, such as the iPhone 3G/3GS does. I don’t think iPod touch can do this, so I think calling it a “3G iPod touch” is a misnomer. Unless the 3G stands for “3rd Generation”, which maybe would fit (I lost track of how may gens the touch has gone through). But even still, I think “3rd Gen” would be more correct than “3G”.

    MDN, please clarify.

  2. 3G is 3rd Generation.

    The only thing that has screwed around with the whole “G” thing is when Apple came up with the name “iPhone 3G” referring to the 3G GSM telephone part, rather than the Generation.

  3. Excuse me. Everyone wants to be Cary Grant. Even I want to be Cary Grant. Help me! It has to find sites on the: Nova detox foot pads. I found only this – knoki detox foot pads.
