MacNN reports, “My Apple Guide further adds that Apple is preparing a “pleasant ‘surprise’” for the event, though there is no clear indication of what it might be. Mac OS X Snow Leopard has been widely predicted to launch before its official summer deadline, and could see a near-future release date set. More speculative suggestions have included updated iPhones, or possibly the first Apple netbook.

AppleInsider reports that they’ve “heard from one tipster that six new Apple product SKUs (stock keeping units) have turned up in the inventory systems of a major overseas electronics retailer, and that those products could arrive as early as this Wednesday.”

“Taken at face value, this could suggest 4 new iMac configurations and 2 new Mac mini configurations. At this point, however, that is speculative and the report remains largely unconfirmed,” AppleInsider reports.
