“The 2009 updates for iWork may not be as showy as its fun counterpart, but the changes to Keynote, Numbers and Pages are well worth the extra cash,” Jim Hill reports for T3.
“Previously watching a Keynote presentation would feel similar to watching beige paint dry, but now your slides can be animated rather than just plain dissolves,” Hill reports.
MacDailyNews Take: The guy has obviously never used Keynote before; or even read a review of the application, it seems. Let’s see if he makes any sense about Numbers and/or Pages…
Hill continues, “Numbers gets dozens of new features to make it much more flexible than Excel spreadsheets.”
MacDailyNews Take: That’s better. Pity he writes nothing of substance about Pages ’09 (or iWork.com).
Oh, well. The full (brief) review, in which Hill gives iWork ’09 4 out of 5 stars while also calling the £69 office suite “expensive,” is here.
