Nice photos. Thanks, MacCheech!
The language police will swoop down and close the place because the pictures show that the Genius Bar is in English only — no larger, French version overpowering it.
I was on MTL only 10 days ago. Wish the store would have open then. A well, it will be for my next visit in about 2 years.
I love the language police in Montreal. They went into Chinatown and wanted the decorative Chinese characters reduced in size so the new French signs were dominant.
A Chinese restaurant owner was asked on camera what characters meant. He said, “about birds. It mean, flock off.
Javert, we do not translate trademarks or logos like “Genius Bar” or “Apple Store” or “MobileMe”, or “Big Mac” etc. By the way, California voted a language law in 1986.

I’m back from our new Apple Store or Boutique Apple in Montréal. As you can see, Apple is cosmopolite (not like some people here).

In exchange for a little money, they gave me an iMac and a MacBook !
I can’t afford an Apple a day, though…
I just have one question: does the Quebequois version of the iPod Touch come with poutine?
I wonder how many tons of glass are in all of the Apple stores worldwide. And, how many 55 gallon drums of Windex they go through a year.
i’m headed to montréal in just a couple weeks… i’ll definitely be stopping in there ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”tongue laugh” style=”border:0;” />
