  1. Oh, great. A second Tampa area store. When Apple will open a store in NW Florida (Gainesville or Tallahassee). I guess our two largest universities and their surrounding communities aren’t enough of a customer base to support a store? A store in Gainesville would draw upon at least four counties worth of potential (and current) Mac users.

  2. Cool. Now Thurrott will probably be so nervous about it and crap in his pants. Why is he nervous in the first place? Would he be nervous if MS had grand openings with the same reaction with consumers?

  3. I moved from Tampa 2 years ago. The other is at International Plaza, which is Tampa’s high end mall. Brandon Town Center is about 25 minutes away and is a nice mall as well. These are good locations for Apple

  4. CPT..i agree–an apple store in Gainesville would be a smokin’ location. Definitely more business than Brandon for sure..it wouldn’t surprise me if a Gainesville topped apple sales for the WHOLE STATE. Hey Apple get a clue–> 54,000 students (@ UF) + another 10,000 @ nearby Santa Fe College.
