O2: Apple iPhone no longer available in UK

“O2 has confirmed reports that the iPhone is not currently available anywhere in the UK, and customers may have to wait for the putative 3G Apple iPhone,” Carrie-Ann Skinner reports for PC Advisor

“Last month the price of the 8GB Apple iPhone was slashed to £169 in preparation for the release of a 3G iPhone, which Apple is expected to launch in the US at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco on June 9,” Skinner reports.

“Stock of both the 8GB and the 16GB Apple iPhone models, have flown off UK shelves, forcing service provider O2 to admit that no stock remains and the original iPhone will not re-appear,” Skinner reports.

  1. Wow, yes, it is NOT available at the Apple store. Wonder how long that will last. It would kind of be like Apple NOT selling Macs at the Apple Store……..
Maybe Tuesday or Monday we’ll see the new iPhone? Or maybe they will actually go a month without selling it…….

  2. well I helped to diminish the stock by getting an iPhone 3 weeks ago… Man this device is AWESOME! I can type so fast on it now, you can just fly through words roughly and the iPhone autocorrects 95% of the time!

I can’t wait for version 2 of the iPhone software. Hopefully it will make my iPhone better than it already is.

    Bring on the App Store!
