Happy New Year!

MacDailyNews wishes everyone a happy, healthy, and successful 2008!

We have just 15 days to go until the year’s first major Apple highlight takes place. Apple CEO Steve Jobs is scheduled to deliver the opening keynote address for Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 9am PT. Macworld Expo & Conference will be held at San Francisco’s Moscone Convention Center January 14-18, 2007.

  1. MacDailyNews is my one-stop-shop for all Mac related news. (At least a good starting point before triangulating information.) Thanks so much for your diligent and entertaining efforts through out 2007.

If 2008 is even half as eventful as 2007, it should be another banner year for Apple.

Very Happy New Year to all MacHeads, past, present AND future!

  2. I hope in the new year, MDN takes a new direction and decides to end its condescending look at everything non-Apple. I also hope that the Mac community becomes a little friendlier or we somehow manage to keep the dipshits that reflect badly on the community out. And let’s all support Ron Paul. Happy new year to everyone.

  3. 2008 is the year I intend to get a Mac and finally make the switch. I’ve been champing at the bit through all of this past year to do it. First I was waiting for Adobe CS3 to come out, then Leopard, then the Modbook.

Lately, while looking through the requirements of CS3 and of Cintiqs, I’m leaning towards a Mac Pro rather than the Modbook.

Sure would like to see the Mac Pros refreshed come January 15th. Oh–and OS X 10.5.2 would be good also.

  4. “10.5.2 should have some welcome glitch fixes”

I sure hope so. Leopard on my iMac Core Duo has the following ills:

    – iChat does not work, at all.
    – Mac Help opens a blank window, then crashes.
    – PubSubAgent keeps asking for connection permission even though I click Always Allow.
    – Screen Sharing is totally flaky. It connected once for a few minutes then refused to reconnect or start a new connection.

  5. I had finally decided last month to get a Mac Pro, but waited when rumors said they would upgrade the processors this month. Well, they didn’t, and I spent a fortune on my wife for Christmas and now don’t have the money. Oh well, she’s worth it. Maybe next year.

A Happy New Year to MDN and all the wisecracking punsters, liberals, conservatives, believers, atheists, straights, gays and even the deluded rap-is-music crowd (just kidding – we all know it is, right?).

May 2008 bring us another year chock-full of whining, crying, screaming, bitching, moaning, groaning, cussing, fussing, fighting and feuding. You know, what we usually do. Don’t you just love it?

“happy new year to TowerTone and Chrissyone and all of the other regulars who contribute to the humor on this site, and yes that includes Zune Tang!”

Hey, what about me? I’m regular (well, at least I hate being irregular).
