I’m sorry, but this ‘game’ is really lame. My son has it, so I’ve tried it out. What’s extremely sad is that playing this game exulting “guitar heroes” will actually retard any attempt at playing a real guitar. I know the game has been a financial success, yet I can’t help thinking that it would have been more deserving if after devoting a hundred hours of play a person could walk away with the ability to play a few chords on an actual guitar, or the actual guitar riff you are mimicking in the game. Games are all a waste of time, and that in part is what makes them fun, yet most games are entertaining because they put you in scenarios in which you would never normally find yourself (unless death or jail are what you’re aiming for). Being a guitar player is something that more than a few can realistically aspire to, and if the hours spent on the ‘game’ were spent by the average kid actually learning music and practicing the real thing ultimately they would have a more satisfying experience. And, as said, playing GH, the game, will mess up your finger coordination.

TT, I’m not sure if there’s any “racism” involved. I live in rich, upper-middle-class Newton. The kids wandering down the street saying “Beitch” and “Hoah” and the like are white sons of doctors and lawyers and the like. Half of them have their trousers hung around their knees.
