Most AT&T stores I’ve called will only have about 20 phones. You might actually have better luck at an Apple Store as most AT&T stores already have more than 20 people in line.

I was at Lenox for the launch of Jaguar and this crowd dwarfs that one–and I thought that was impressive.

I was at Lenox for Jaguar, Panther and Tiger! People that only wanted to buy iPods got pretty steamed when they realized they couldn’t bypass the long line. At least they had CompUSA next store – back then.

Actually, the store in question had more than enough in stock for all 400 people in line. The AT&T stores had low quantities, the Apple stores had huge quantities.

And I got the first one from Lenox’s store
